On the evening of March 5, Susan Omilian received The Soroptimist Ruby Award For Women Helping Women from the Soroptimist International of Farmington Valley Connecticut. This award was in recognition of her “outstanding work to improve the lives of other women.”
Susan was presented with the award by Soroptimist President Tracy Scala at the LaTrattoria Restaurant in Canton, Connecticut. The Soroptimist is a world-wide volunteer service organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
It was a great night for Susan and she was joined by her two good friends, Janice Olson (Susan’s May Kay “image consultant!”) and Vanessa Stevens, creator of The Purple Song Project.
Susan wishes to thank the Soroptimists for their support of her work including the My Avenging Angel Workshops™ and The Thriver Workbook: Journey from Victim to Survivor to Thriver!
