Susan Omilian Named “Woman of Distinction”

On Thursday, April 25, at its Third Annual Connecticut Women’s Conference, the Connecticut Women’s Alliance honored Susan Omilian as 2013 “Woman of Distinction” for her work helping women who have been abused move from victim to survivor to thriver!

The theme this yearMillionCircleslogo_web was A Million Circles… based on “The millionth circle” which refers to the circle whose formation tips the scales and shifts planetary consciousness.

This year’s keynote, Ronita Johnson (Stepping into Bold Leadership – The Way of Circle), is a founding convener of The Millionth Circle and has lead circles at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and the Parliament of World Religion in Barcelona.

The Morning Panel Discussion, If Women Ruled the World, was moderated by Kathy McAfee (America’s Marketing Motivator). Kathy’s panel included: Mary Jones (The Mary Jones Show), Stacy Smith Walsh (chairperson YWCA Hartford Region), Natalie Thompson (executive associate, The Connecticut Forum) and Tiffany Ho (founder ReadySetLaunch).
